Mexico is currently ranked 27th in the world of the best countries to live in, according to a list made by U.S. News & World Report, who evaluates the overall performance of countries and how they are perceived by global citizens.
Mexico is ranked 2nd place in Latin America, Brazil being the country occupying the 1st place in Latin America and 20th place in the world, and it was considered the largest country in population and territory and for being one of the most important tourist destinations in the world.
This -whose list inaugural report evaluated 60 countries in total- is based on a survey of more than 16,000 global citizens in which they rated each country according to categories such as adventure, citizenship, cultural influence, entrepreneurship, heritage, travelers, power and how open is the country for business and quality of life.
The country occupying 1st place in the list “Best countries in the world” is Germany, “the country with the most population in the European Union -80,889,505 people- who possesses one of the largest economies in the world and whose role in the international community has increased constantly since its unification”, says the report.
This country is followed by Canada, Britain, United States, Sweden, Australia, Japan, France, Holland and Denmark.
The ranking of Latin America was as follows:
36. Costa Rica
45. Dominican Republic
The last places in the list of 60 are for Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Iran, Ukraine and Algeria.
